Welsh Welsh rarebit

    15 min

A real Welsh version of rarebit that is made with sharp Cheddar cheese and fresh thyme. Simple, and delicious! Garnishes are almost endless, from poached eggs, to sliced tomatoes, to pickled onions and piccalilli, to bacon. Really, put anything you think would taste good with toast and cheese on there, and tuck in.

O law, was this good! I'm actually drooling while thinking of what next to say. One thing tho'--do you mean dry mustard or prepared mustard? What's the white thing in the snapper?  -  03 Mar 2012

I would think powdered mustard. Thinking that is a poached egg on top, sounds really yummy.  -  18 Jul 2015
