Banana brown sugar jam

    If you have a sweet tooth and love bananas like I do, this jam is for you.

    Makes: 2 jars

    • 6 very ripe bananas
    • 220g light soft brown sugar
    • 6 tablespoons water
    • 5 cloves
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1. Add the ingredients in a saucepan and cook over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the jam is thick and starts to form droplets, about 30 minutes.
    2. Fill into sterilised jars while still hot and close with lids. Let cool then refrigerate and use up within a couple of weeks.
