Tagliatelle with peas and sausage

    A quick and delicious pasta dinner that is ready in less than 30 minutes but all made from scratch.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 250g tagliatelle
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • 100g Italian sausage, casing removed
    • 100g garden peas, fresh or frozen
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • salt and pepper
    • Parmesan cheese for sprinkling

    Method

    1. Bring 2L water to the boil and add 1 teaspoon salt. When the water boils, add the pasta and cook al dente following packet instructions.
    2. While the pasta cooks, heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the sausage meat and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it apart with a cooking spoon. Add the peas and lemon juice. Season with salt.
    3. Drain the pasta and combine in the sausage and peas. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve hot.
