Mango margarita

    Authentic mango margaritas make an impressive party cocktail. Or simply serve on a balmy Sunday afternoon!

    Serves: 1 

    • 6 tablespoons tequila
    • 3 tablespoons triple sec
    • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    • 1 mango - peeled, stone removed and sliced
    • 4 ice cubes
    • 4 tablespoons mango juice

    1. In a blender, combine the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, mango and ice. Blend until ice is finely crushed. Sweeten with mango juice to your liking.


    Use orange juice or a tropical juice blend if you cannot find mango juice.

    To serve:

    If desired, serve in a sugar-rimmed glass for a pleasing presentation. Simply moisten the rim of the glass and dip in a mound of caster or demerara sugar.

    Used different ingredients. I didn't have triple I used a sugar syrup with orange zest instead. Also, I freeze the Mango juice in ice trays...makes it more slushy!  -  07 Aug 2008

    Was quite nice initially but the taste became a little cloying after a while. Makes a nice change from the usual margarita and was handy to use up some mango pulp I had. Gran thought it was very good!  -  07 Aug 2008
