Paula's slow cooker chicken and mushroom casserole

    My 3 year old daughter says this is "dee-lipshus!" Simply place chicken breasts, garlic, mushrooms, spinach, white wine and a jar of mushroom sauce in your slow cooker. Go out for the day, go to work, whatever. When you come back you have a lovely meal and just need to cook rice or mash!

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 chicken breasts, left whole
    • 4 cloves of garlic, peeled but left whole
    • 1 (500g) jar of mushroom sauce
    • 250ml white wine
    • 250g button mushrooms, halved
    • 100g spinach, washed and chopped

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10hr  ›  Ready in:10hr5min 

    1. Place all ingredients into slow cooker; cover with lid and cook on Low for 10 hours.

    Absolutely beautiful 😋 Just guessed measurements as I don't have any kitchen scales at the moment, and added since cheese sauce granules to thicken. Cooked on high for 4 & 1/2 hours then on low for 1 hour, attempted to roast sweet potato chunks to go with it but I burnt them so just had it with garlic baguette which was lovely 😁 think I may have stirred it a bit much as the chicken breasts just feel to pieces, unless it's supposed to be like that?  -  10 Feb 2017
