Turkey slow cooker casserole

    8 hours 10 min

Turkey drumsticks are fantastically economical, as well as tasty. Slow cooking ensures the turkey leg is tender and moist. This recipe is so easy - you'll be making it all the time!

Absolutely delicious, thanks will be making this often  -  12 Mar 2012

We really enjoyed this. would definitely do this again. tasted very good. I struggled to thicken the sauce, so I'd probably add some corn flour next time. perhaps a couple of hours before its done. used turkey thigh. meat just fell off the bone. nice :-)  -  28 Aug 2013

Love all the ingredients individually which is why I made it. Usually, the smell of food in my crockpot drives me wild. This one had no aromas at all. The absence of seasoning in the recipe should have been a tipoff. I managed to salvage the vegetables by removing the brussel sprouts and boiling the rest down in a saucepan to intensify the flavor. I seasoned with salt and pepper and a tablespoon of olive oil. Made a puree out of the sweet potato, celeriac and rutabaga in the blender. As for the turkey leg; if you enjoy boiled meat, go for it.  -  03 Nov 2007  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
