Brazilian Lemonade

    This exotic recipe for still 'lemonade' actually uses limes. Don't make this ahead of time - it is best served immediately.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 limes
    • 100g (3¾ oz) caster sugar
    • 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
    • 750ml (1¼ pints) water
    • ice

    1. Wash limes thoroughly. Slice off the ends and slice into eight wedges. Place limes in a blender with the sugar, sweetened condensed milk, water and ice.
    2. Blend in an electric blender, pulsing 5 times. Strain through a fine sieve to remove rinds. Serve over ice.
