Gâteau au yaourt (French yoghurt cake)

    The French yoghurt cake is a classic a super easy cake to bake. All you need to do is stir together the ingredients, and you don't even need a measuring cup or a scale because all the ingredients are measured with the yoghurt tub.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 (125g) tub natural or flavoured yoghurt
    • 3 yoghurt tubs plain flour
    • 1 yoghurt tub caster sugar
    • 1/3 yoghurt tub rapeseed oil
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 eggs
    • chocolate chips, chopped dried fruit etc. (optional)
    • vanilla extract (optional)

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a loaf tin and dust with flour.
    2. In a bowl mix yoghurt, flour, sugar, eggs, oil and baking powder till smooth.
    3. If desired, add chocolate chips, dried fruit, or vanilla extract.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven till a tester comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
