Ingredients
Makes: 1 small jar
100g caster sugar
1 teaspoon water
45g salted butter
200ml double cream
1 pinch fleur de sel or fine sea salt
Method Prep:5min › Cook:10min › Ready in:15min
Add butter and water to a saucepan. Heat it over medium heat till the sugar has melted.
Once the sugar starts to brown, add butter and cream (careful it splashes!). Whisk till smooth and stir in salt.
Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, then pour into a sterilised jar and close.
