Chicken in orange sauce

    You have two choices for this chicken breast recipe: you can either make it with orange juice and oranges only, or add hot sauce such as chilli sauce, sriracha etc. to it for a sweet and spicy variation.

    Serves: 6 

    • 3 chicken breasts, cut in half
    • plain flour for dusting
    • salt and pepper
    • olive oil
    • 230ml orange juice
    • 230ml hot sauce (optional)
    • 60g minced green pepper
    • 1 teaspoom prepared mustard
    • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon runny honey
    • 2 oranges, peeled and diced

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Ajouter le jus d’orange, la sauce épicée, le poivron, la moutarde, la sauce soja, le miel et 1 orange à la poêle.
    2. Dust chicken with flour, salt and pepper. Heat oil a casserole pot and fry chicken till browned on both sides. Take out chicken and discard the fat.
    3. Return chicken to casserole pot and add the remaining ingredients. Cover with lid and cook for 1 hour.
