Easiest chicken Kiev

    This is the easiest chicken Kiev recipe out there. Great for a simple midweek supper with chips and a green salad. Use fresh parsley if you have it to hand.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets
    • 60g (2 oz) salted butter
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • plain flour
    • breadcrumbs

    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:55min 

    1. Make a deep slit lengthways through each chicken breast.
    2. Mix butter, parsley and crushed garlic together. Take a quarter of the butter mixture and stuff into the slit of the chicken.
    3. Dip each breast in beaten egg then in flour then in egg again, finally in the breadcrumbs.
    4. Place on a baking tray and cook for about 40-50 minutes at 180 C / Gas 4. Check chicken is cooked right through and that the juices run clear before serving.


    Season your flour and breadcrumbs with some salt and pepper if desired.
