Drain a 350g jar gooseberries. Blend the fruit to a smooth purée.
Turn a 425g can low-fat custard into a bowl and stir in the gooseberry purée.
Divide among four small ramekins or glasses and chill in the freezer for 5-15 minutes. Serve plain or top each dessert with 1 tbsp extra-thick double cream, fromage frais or Greek-style yoghurt and sprinkle with a few toasted flaked almonds, if you like.
