About this recipe: This is a recipe created by my partner once when we were trying to make something else and realised we didn't have half the ingredients. It works well served with rice or noodles.
I agree with the above comment that it looks watery and not very appetising until you add the stock cube and then it transforms into a lovely, sweet, sticky dish. I didn't have either baking soda or orange juice (but I substituted with a teaspoon of lime juice) and it was delicious. One of the few dishes the whole family enjoy. Thanks! - 27 Jun 2013
Made this for tea tonight. Used the above recipe along with noodles with a touch of garlic and chillis and some onion and mushroom and i have to say it was absolutely fantastic - 29 Jul 2010
Doesnt look very nice in prep and when cooking. Once you add the stock cube it comes together beautifully. Guests wanted seconds!! Yummy!! - 09 May 2010
