Perfect Bread

    This recipe works every time and produces soft, yummy bread. The secret is in adding some bran flakes. This recipe is for a bread making machine, and produces an extra large loaf. I use a basic white bread flour. Shop around for the best bargains.

    • 1 pkt of dried active baking yeast
    • 350g of white bread flour
    • 1 large handful of bran flakes - approx 115g
    • 2 Tbs caster sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp of cooking salt
    • 120ml of vegetable or sunflower oil
    • 350ml of tepid water

    1. When adding the ingredients into your breadmaker, make sure you add them in the order written for the ingredients. Use your breadmaker instructions for a basic white loaf, extra large.

    Doesn't come out as a white loaf for me, but really really yummy!! Even the kids eat it! I start it off in the breadmaker then make two smaller loaves with the dough, prove it again, and bake it at 190 for about 20 mins, it's perfect for everything and with everything!!
