Baked Trout

    Mmmm! I had never had trout before, definitely not a fish lover, but my boyfriend said he wants more fish in his diet and I like creating with foods so we had rainbow trout for our tea. I actually liked it.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
    • 1 rainbow trout halved lengthwise
    • 1 tsp maple syrup
    • 1/4 tsp curry powder
    • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees C/gas mark 4 and put the fish on aluminium foil
    2. Mix together mustard and syrup. Use knife to spread mixture onto the fish.
    3. Sprinkle the fish with cayenne and curry powder and wrap loosely.
    4. Place in oven, cook about 15 minutes - serve with rice and veggies.

    would av bin quite nice if not overdone with mustard - next time I'll used half as much and I think it should be quite nice then  -  13 Apr 2011


    Used different ingredients. used golden syrup instead of maple syrup used paprika instead of cayenne pepper 1tbsp mustard is too much - would advise only to use 1/2tbsp  -  13 Apr 2011
