    This recipe has been in the family for years, we all like flapjacks but think these are the best.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 16 

    • 115g (4 oz) soft margarine
    • 170g (6 oz) crunchy peanut butter
    • 170g (6 oz) demerara sugar
    • 6 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 300g (10 oz) oats
    • 40g (2 oz) salted peanuts, roughly chopped
    • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:50min 

    1. Set oven to 170 C / Gas 3.
    2. Place margarine, peanut butter, sugar and syrup in large pan and heat gently until melted.
    3. Stir in oats, nuts and lemon juice.
    4. Press into 11 x 7 inch tin and level out.
    5. Bake for about 35 mins until golden brown.
    6. Mark into pieces.
    7. Allow to cool in tin.
