Yummy! I made this for a friend who is allergic to gluten, dairy, egg, nuts and soya. Used 125ml oil and replaced difference with water as suggested in other reviews; 200 g sugar (instead of 350g and it was still sweet enough); buckwheat flour to make it gluten free and added 100g dark chocolate chips to the mixture before baking. Easiest thing I've ever baked and we all loved it!

I made these brownies a few days ago as I have a dairy and egg allergy. I added dark chocolate chips and craisins, Yum. Similarly to others I reduced the oil to 150ml and made the rest up with water. Its a great recipe. Put the brownies in the microwave for 15-20secs and there AMAZING!! Thanks

I've just made a batch of these. Like the others I reduced the amount of oil to 150ml and made the rest up with extra water. They've turned out beautifully. Even my mum enjoyed a warm one from the oven and she claims to not like brownies. I also added chocolate chips and chopped walnuts to mine. Thanks for the recipe

Made these a few weeks ago and took them to work. I didn't mention that they were vegan and no one appeared to notice. When I revealed later on everyone was very surprised. I popped in a large amount of plain and white chocolate chip just to make them more interesting (I'm not vegan and just didn't have the ingredients I needed for my normal recipe) I think next time I will use half the oil required as i found the after taste of the oil a little odd. But apart from that I would definitely make these again. Very quick and easy to make.

It was really easy to prepare. I loved the taste, but I will put less oil (half) next time

Tried this recipe as I realised after promising to make brownies, that I didn't have enough butter for my normal recipe. Following the earlier reviews, I cut the sugar a little as well, and they were sweet enough and had a really good consistency, nice and moist. Personally I thought the taste was a little strange, as I found the oil overpowered the other ingredients, and with just cocoa powder, they weren't chocolately enough. Bu that's just personal taste!

Reduced sugar, increased water a little and sprinkled choc chips on top. Turned out a little dry to be honest but probably because I used melted butter as I ran out of oil and didn't use enough. Otherwise I'm halfway through devouring it!

I made this recipe this afternoon and found it easy to make. I even roped my 3yr old nephew into help! I made these especially for him as he has a dairy allergy. I added 200ml of olive oil (didn't have any veg oil) as suggested by other reviewers. I cooked the brownies for 30 mins and they appeared to be cooked. Tested them with a skewer just in case! I sprinkled sugar on the top for a decorative effect. They tasted gooey and very delicious. My nephew loved them and so did the rest of my family. A great recipe indeed.

Yum! These were really good. My partner still had no idea these were vegan either They took longer to cook than recipe says - so I finished them off in the microwave so the outside didn't crisp up too much. Next time I might reduce the oil a little - they are delicious as they are but I think I could get away with using less oil.

I just tried this recipe, but it was way too oily, I should have gone by what the other ladies had said and cut down on the oil, but it is a great recipe any way

These are so tasty, even if they are vegan brownies! I added half the amount of oil and little more water yet they still came out well.

Just made these brownies and they are truly scrumptious. I did wonder about the amount of oil I was pouring into the bowl and stopped after 200ml as I just thought they would taste too oily. I popped half a walnut on top to decorate. After 25 minutes cooking time they were very moist, which I prefer, but if you want them firmer, just leave a bit longer.

Lovely. Very, very sweet though. If I was making them again I'd probably reduce the amount of sugar to the same as the flour and adjust the volume of oil.

Used different ingredients. I used 200ml sunflower oil and then a lump of 'white flora' - cooking margarine. when i say a lump i'm talking a very heaped desertspoon-full. I also added about 60g chopped mixed nuts and a few spoonfuls of white choc chips and dark choc chips AND 2 teaspoons of coffee granules! If you only cook it for 20 mintues it stays gooey runny in the middle and makes an amazing pudding!! Staying in til 30minutes it makes lovely cakes I melted some Nutella choc spread to drizzle on top to serve!! That was yummy but rather sickly sweet! The brownies seemed to work better and not fall apart so much when they're completely cool and actually seemed to improve the next day. This recipe is incredible!!! Better than non-vegan! None of my non vegan friends can believe it hasn't got any dairy in it!!

Made it healthier. Vegan food always seems to have a high oil content which isn't necessary. I halved the amount and used some apple sauce and a pot of soya dark chocolate pudding....I also added some choc chips...the result was great and more chocolatey....my vegan friend raved about it!
