    About this recipe: I used to make these cheese balls for a friend's tupperware party but by the time people turned up there would be only one cheese ball left. I did try making double, but the same happened - there was still only one left.

    • 225g (8 oz) Cheddar cheese
    • 280g (10 oz) plain flour
    • pinch cayenne pepper
    • 2 eggs, separated
    • breadcrumbs

    1. Mix together cheese, flour and pepper set aside.
    2. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Carefully fold in cheese mixture, then shape into balls. Dip balls in beaten egg yolks and roll in breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot oil for about 2 - 4 minutes or untill golden brown.
    3. Serve with salad or as part of a child's packed lunch.
