About this recipe: This is a super-indulgent chicken dish, which is quick and easy to make. Chicken breasts are wrapped in bacon, baked to perfection and then served with a smoked cheese sauce.

Serves: 4 

  • 4 skinless chicken breast fillets
  • 4 rashers smoked bacon
  • 300ml single cream
  • 200g smoked cheese, chopped
  • 1 knob butter
  • black pepper

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Preheat oven to 220 C / Gas 7.
  2. Place chicken into pan of cold water and bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Drain chicken and wrap each piece with a rasher of bacon. Place onto an ovenproof dish.
  4. Cook in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Stir in cheese and cream, whisk until smooth. Season with pepper and simmer gently until needed.
  6. Remove chicken from oven and serve with the cheese sauce. Enjoy with broccoli and new potatoes.

i found this very easy, but i changed it a bit by putting a bit or cheese on and then wrapping in bacon, i found it makes it taste that one bit nice, good recipe though - 25 Nov 2012
