Tender apples kissed with maple syrup and covered in a crunchy topping. Very easy, and tastes lovely!! My fiance loves it when I make this pud.

This apple crumble recipe originally called for 110g of butter, not 125g. Additionally, the brown sugar was off and should be 110g. The recipe has been amended.  -  07 Oct 2010

Help! What did I do wrong? I followed the recipe exactly, but using 125g of softened butter I ended up with a very sticky paste not a crumbly mixture. I had to spread it on with a pallette which was quite difficult as it kept sticking to the apples! It tasted lovely, but I was not happy with the crumble topping. Sorry.  -  03 Nov 2009

well I followed the recipe to the tee, It looked like an easy recipe and just went with the amount of stars and highlight of the week?huh? But when it came to making the crumble it turned into a paste. and it was more like sticky toffee, I had to quickly double the amount of flour and still had to add more. and took ages to get it to a `sort of crumble`;` more like rocks now. but eventually covered the apples and cooked for the time stated ..tasted ok but next time will use double the flour or half butter stated . the only mistake was not reading any reviews. as I took the stars and dish of the day or week ?. sorry Crystal you need to check your ingredients again.  -  24 Sep 2017
