1 medium acorn squash, halved and seeded
1 tablespoon dark brown soft sugar
salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
Turn acorn squash upside down onto a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven until it begins to soften, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
Remove squash from the oven and turn onto a plate so that the flesh is facing upwards. Divide the butter and brown sugar between the two halves and sprinkle with salt. Place squash in a baking dish (so the squash won't slide around too much) while baking.
Place squash back in the oven and bake another 30 minutes.
