    About this recipe: It is speculated that this North American Christmas tradition actually originated in England as a long lost cousin of posset. Serve this luscious combination of milk, cream, eggs and nutmeg with a measure of rum or brandy if desired.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 11 

    • 6 eggs
    • 1 (397g) tin condensed sweetened milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1L milk
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 150ml double cream
    • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Beat eggs; mix in condensed milk, vanilla, litre of milk and salt.
    2. Beat the cream until soft peaks form. Fold into egg and milk mixture and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve chilled.

    This is so easy and is very tasty. I tweaked this to my own taste . I added a little rum flavour and some ground cinnamon. All the taste but no alcohol even the kids can try some - 22 Dec 2015
