Chicken Crisp

    this is a great store cupboard favorite it is something my mum and i made up one night when we had unexspected company we didnt have a great deal of money so we used what was in the cupboard and store room at the time we were all apprehensive at the time now it is a great winter warmer when all you want to do is sit and watch tv ot read in front of the fire.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • Chicken
    • Chicken soup 1 Can
    • mushroom soup 1 Can
    • 2 stalks celery
    • 6 Mushrooms Sliced
    • 4 packets of plain crisps

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Extra time:45min  ›  Ready in:2hr 

    1. take any chicken it can left overs, diced or even thight peices you can buy cheap place them in a cassarole dish.
    2. pour over the chicken and mushroom soup.
    3. add celery and mushrooms and stir.
    4. place in a preheated oven on about gas mark 6 and leave for 1 hour.
    5. just before serving empty 4 packets of plain crisps and place back in the oven for 5 min
    6. serve with a choice of vegetables and if you dont think you hae had enough potatoes this goes great with buttered new potatoes.
