This rich toffee sauce is easy to make and can be served with a variety of cakes and puddings.
This is a lovely, easy sauce. I didn't use the brandy and substituted 70ml of the milk for cream, as it was what I had in the fridge. I warmed a spiced sponge cake, poured this on top, to make a 'sticky-toffee pudding'. Went down very well! Just watch out for the sauce thickening - once it starts it is very quick to get thick! - 20 Mar 2012
I thought this was a very helpful recipe! It made a delicious toffee sauce without the use of cream which can be quite fattening. I shall be using this again However i think the picture used is a little unappetizing, but good recipe. - 12 Apr 2015
Unbelievably successful. I made half the quantity, used just one tablespoon of brandy and used an extra tablespoon of cream instead. Perfect topping for apple granny. So easy to make. - 21 Apr 2013
