Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. Add potatoes and bring back to the boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until fork tender.
Drain and return potatoes back to the pot. Mash potatoes with butter and milk to obtain the consistency you desire. Season and serve with extra butter.
