    About this recipe: Ever wonder what to do with that big rhubarb plant in the garden? This is your answer.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 18 

    • 200g caster sugar
    • 3 tablespoons plain flour
    • 500g sliced fresh strawberries
    • 375g diced rhubarb
    • Crumble topping
    • 200g plain flour
    • 225g dark brown soft sugar
    • 225g butter
    • 80g rolled oats

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:45min  ›  Ready in:1hr 

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
    2. In a large bowl, mix caster sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, strawberries and rhubarb. Place the mixture in a 22x33cm baking dish.
    3. Mix 200g flour, brown sugar, butter and oats until crumbly. You may want to use a pastry blender for this. Crumble on top of the rhubarb and strawberry mixture.
    4. Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until crisp and lightly browned.

    WAY TOO MUCH BUTTER...IT WOULD NOT CRUMBLE IN BREADCRUMBS AND THREW IT AWAY AND STARTED AGAIN HALVING THE BUTTER AND IT WAS GREAT...AND ALSO WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR - 04 Sep 2015

    DELICIOUS!! Totally loved it. Only difference is I use about half the sugar. But that's a matter of preference. I want to taste the strawberry and rhubarb. It worked, especially because we had it with ice cream. I'm definitely making it again!! - 07 Apr 2015
