This makes a lovely light cake, that looks just like the picture. I have now made it a number of times and it has worked every time, I have also added cocoa powder to make a chocolate version. My family all love it. - 15 Jun 2012

Very simple to prepare, my son loved making it (and licking out the bowl afterwards). It is a bit drier than a regular sponge though, so I definitely recommend following the author's suggestion of a cream filling, or serving it with some kind of sauce. - 15 Sep 2012
