    About this recipe: Got recipe from a mag, tried it, family loved it, can be dairy free, just by using correct butter alternative!

    Serves: 4 

    • 8oz (225g) plain flour
    • 3 1/2oz (100g) butter
    • 3-4tbsp water
    • 3 tbsp jam
    • 3oz (85g) prridge oats
    • 6oz 175g sugar
    • 1 3/4oz (50g) butter melted
    • 1 egg
    • almond or vanilla essence

    1. rub flour and butter together
    2. add water to bind.
    3. roll out and place in tin
    4. spread jam over (i spread it thick)
    5. Mix oats, butter, egg, essence together
    6. spread on top
    7. Cook on 200C 20 - 25 minutes
