    About this recipe: The beer is the key to this simple but delicious slow cooker recipe. Add your favourite spices to give it a different flavour. This recipe is very flexible! And best of all, the leftovers can be used for stew or sandwiches.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1kg whole pork fillets
    • 175ml lager
    • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
    • 2 potatoes, quartered
    • 2 carrots, quartered
    • 6 button mushrooms
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1/2 small onion, cut into chunks
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
    • 1 teaspoon dried sage

    1. Combine the pork, lager, vinegar, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, onion, salt, peppercorns and sage in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
