Bigos is a traditional Polish stew using pork, kielbasa and sauerkraut. Great for a cold winter day. Well worth the time it takes to make it!
You can find kielbasa in larger supermarkets and in Polish shops.
We love Bigos at home, My husbands family is polish, This one is a great recpie for it. Only thing Is its a little hard to gague how long to rinse the Kraut for but i suspect one or two more times and will have it just the way we like it!!! - 27 Feb 2011
It tastes good but of course you have added many many spices. This would not have been done traditionally. Salt and pepper and a good stock would do fine. - 30 Apr 2015
Used different ingredients. Very nice made with Smoked paprika instead of sweet. (Was all out of sweet paprika) - 27 Feb 2011
