About this recipe: A delicious low-fat muffin. Children love them, and it's a great way to get them eating wholemeal. If desired, add sultanas or some chopped nuts.

They never rose, stayed totally compact and not very tasty either. Will not be making again. - 15 May 2010

I was some what nervous about making this recipe after reading the reviews, so I made a few changes first. I added 1 tbs of baking soda, 1 tbs of cinnamon and 5 tbs of honey. They taste just fine and had no problems rising. I did find they were not as firm inside as I would have liked, so I think I will use dried apples next time. - 02 Feb 2013
