Mango lime smoothie

    This is a delicious and refreshing summer drink. It also makes an excellent cocktail with the addition of rum.

    Serves: 4 

    • 3 mangoes, peeled, stones removed, and cut into chunks
    • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
    • 10 ice cubes

    1. Place the mangoes, lime juice, sugar and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until slushy.

    I love Mangos, especially in smoothies. Very refreshing...but tasted like an *icee*. I added plain yogurt, ground flaxseed and protein powder after tasting the original recipe to give it a creamy texture.  -  15 Aug 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    To get the true feel of the recipe I didn't add the strawberries or strawberry yogurt I was tempted to - I made this for Hubs this morning exactly as written.
