    About this recipe: This recipe is what has been used in my family since I was old enough to eat banana bread. It tastes really good! I like to add vanilla, cinnamon and/or nutmeg to mine.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 125g melted butter
    • 200g sugar
    • 250g flour
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 325g mashed bananas
    • chopped nuts, to taste (optional)

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Ready in:1hr15min 

    1. Mix all ingredients together.
    2. Pour into a greased and floured loaf tin.
    3. Bake in a 180 C / Gas mark 4 oven until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean (about 45 minutes).
