    About this recipe: A must try, this recipe combines sauteed asparagus, bacon and rocket with linguine; a special bright flavour comes from fresh lemon juice. It's simple and tasty!

    Serves: 5 

    • 1 500g packet linguine
    • 150g streaky bacon rashers, cut in half
    • 75ml extra virgin olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
    • 250g fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1cm pieces
    • 2 (50g) bags rocket
    • 60ml fresh lemon juice

    1. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, and set aside.
    2. Cook bacon in a large frying pan over medium heat until browned. Remove to kitchen roll. Pour olive oil into the pan, and stir in garlic and asparagus. Cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
    3. Add pasta to pan. Turn off heat. Toss with rocket, lemon juice and bacon.
