Sesame Chicken Pasta Salad

    This is perfect for a picnic or barbecue. This salad packs a lot of flavour and is very hearty. You will get rave reviews with this one.

    Serves: 6 

    • 350g radiatore pasta
    • 4 tablespoons sesame seeds
    • 4 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
    • 150ml soy sauce
    • 120ml white wine vinegar
    • 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
    • 275g cubed, cooked chicken
    • 30g chopped fresh parsley
    • 50g coarsely chopped spring onion
    • 200g torn fresh spinach leaves

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a small frying pan over medium-low heat. Stir in sesame seeds and cook until golden brown. Remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar and sugar. Pour dressing into a sealable container, and set aside.
    3. In a large bowl, mix together pasta, cooked chicken, and 250ml dressing (reserve remaining dressing). Cover salad, and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
    4. Directly before serving, stir in parsley, spring onions and spinach. Toss with remaining dressing, if desired.

    Gorgeous I did this with farfalle as I couldn't source radiatore locally. Went down very well. We'll definitely make it again!  -  03 May 2013


    I had never heard of radiatore pasta before i was making this for a party and wanted it to look nice. I found it at Waitrose by Lloyd Grossman. I also added some fresh red chilli to spice it up a bit.  -  30 Jun 2011


    Everyone loved this pasta salad! The only change I made was to use about half of the soy sauce called for. Delicious!  -  01 Jul 2011
