About this recipe:An extremely easy take on a sausage and bean stew with a rich smoky flavour. If you prefer, you could use a can of chopped tomatoes and a can of mixed beans in water instead of the baked beans but I actually find the baked beans are tastier, not to mention quicker!
This is a great slow cooker recipe too. I added a chopped leek to keep he veg content up and used cannelli beans and a tin of chopped tomatoes. Also freezes really well so worth making in batches. - 26 Jul 2011
This went down a treat in my house. Had a really lovely strong smokey flavour and my son and husband even ate the red pepper which they profess not to like (I think they must have thought they were tomatoes!)I addded some water to give it a bit more sauce/gravy, will definetely be cooking again. - 30 Jul 2011
