Easy, eggless strawberry ice cream

About this recipe: Use your ice cream maker to create this rich and creamy strawberry ice cream. There are no eggs in this recipe.



Serves: 8 

  • 500ml full fat milk
  • 500ml double cream
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 475g mashed fresh strawberries

  1. In a large bowl, combine the milk, cream, sugar, salt, vanilla and strawberries. Pour the mixture into the freezer bowl of an ice cream maker, and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

Great recipe, love how its eggless... I used 1 carton of strawberries. Chopped 2/3 into very tiny pieces, then purred the remaining 1/3 with the sugar and vanilla. Did not use the food colouring as for me I try and keep things natural. By using both purred and diced strawberries the colour was a pretty pale pink with little ripples of strawberries through out - just perfect!!! - 17 Feb 2010

Just made this today & it is fantastic l put TIN peaches in yes tin ones one tin was too short & two a little over but decided to risk it then l put choc chips in the ones you put in a cake & it is so nice a must to try. - 02 Nov 2013
