Spicy Chicken Wings – Part Grilled, Part Slow Cooked

    Feel free to prepare and marinate the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder and chilli powder a day ahead. The seasonings are according to my preference, please feel free to adjust and let me know how it goes. Oh yeah, my preference of sauce is Linghams Chilli, Garlic & Ginger sauce. But do let me know yours.

    Serves: 5 

    • 30 to 40 individual chicken wings
    • salt & pepper
    • 2 tsp garlic powder
    • 2 tsp chilli powder
    • 375ml of your favourite chilli/bbq sauce
    • 4 tbsp honey
    • 2 tsp mustard sauce
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 onion, sliced

    1. Preheat grill to high.
    2. Remove most of skin on wings. Rinse and pat dry wings.
    3. Place wings on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil.
    4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and chilli powder.
    5. Grill wings 10cm (4 in) from heat source for 10 minutes per side or until wings are browned.
    6. Meanwhile, mix remaining sauce ingredients together and slice the onion into thick slices.
    7. Put wings in slow cooker, sauce over wings and onion slices on top. Cook on high 2 to 3 hours or on low 6 hours.
