220g dark brown soft sugar
120g chopped walnuts
350g chocolate chips

In a heavy saucepan, combine butter and sugars. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Boil to brittle stage on a sugar thermometer, 150 degrees C, without stirring. Remove from heat.
Pour nuts and chocolate chips into a 22x33cm dish. Pour hot mixture over the nuts and chocolate. Let the mixture cool and break it into pieces before serving.
made this toffee today. looked good initially but after it boiled I didn't stir as recipe said. when it reached 150c the bottom of the pan was burned badly! sorry but its not for me. waste of ingredients - 20 Jun 2013
