About this recipe: Well, I was making a cake for my mum and I found all these complicated cakes and desserts so I just figured it out myself.

Serves: 5 

  • 100g butter
  • 100g self-raising flour
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 big bar of Dairy Milk or icing sugar (optional)

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

  1. Measure all the ingredients and first place the butter and sugar in the mixing bowl and mix until creamy.
  2. Slowly put the beated eggs and flour in.
  3. Put the mixed batter in a baking tin and directly into the oven.
  4. Put the oven on at 190 C / Gas 5 and place in for 25-30 minutes.
  5. After you have taken the cake out, melt the dairy milk and place on the cake or if you have icing sugar wait until cake has cooled.
  6. Place in fridge or leave out to cool and when it has cut into slices.
  7. Enjoy!
