    About this recipe: This is a filling, tasty chicken soup that I love to make.

    Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

    Serves: 6 

    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 12 small onions, peeled and quartered
    • 4 or 5 chicken legs
    • Salt for taste
    • Cayenne pepper, to taste
    • Black pepper, to taste

    1. Heat the oil, add the chopped onions and fry till they are brown.
    2. Add the chicken and fry until lightly browned.
    3. Add enough water to cover the chicken and bring to the boil.
    4. Simmer for 1 hour, then season to taste with salt, cayenne and black pepper.
