Amazing Pork Fillet in the Slow Cooker

About this recipe: This is melt in the mouth! This pork fillet, or tenderloin, soaks up the yummy juices as it cooks. Make sure to serve the juices on the side - it's amazing! This recipe is so simple, you will love it!

Ingredients

Serves : 6 

  • 900g pork fillet
  • 1 (40g) sachet onion soup mix
  • 250ml water
  • 180ml red wine
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Place pork fillet in a slow cooker with the contents of the soup sachet. Pour water, wine and soy sauce over the top, turning the pork to coat. Carefully spread garlic over the pork, leaving as much on top of the pork during cooking as possible. Sprinkle with pepper, cover, and cook on low setting for 4 hours. Serve with cooking juices on the side.

Used different ingredients. Did not have onion soup or wine but did have the loin joint. Used gravy granules with bullion cube. Chopped up an onion and sprinkled round the meat and spread some sage & onion stuffing mix on the top. Result was gorgeous but its all a matter of individual tastes. - 18 Oct 2010

Used different ingredients. My husband is a garlic dodger!! I substituted chopped apple instead. Very nice. - 24 Feb 2010

I replaced the wine with a good pear cider and replaced the garlic with an apple,Oh yes and couldn't get a a packet of onion soup so cut out the water and used a 400g tin of soup it was gorgeous! and very easy - 06 Jan 2013
