About this recipe: A lovely chicken and barley stew which was adapted from a lamb stew recipe as I cannot eat red meat and turned into a yummy slow cooker recipe.
turned out really well, very taste, i used twice the amount of stock as i found the barley absorbed alot of it - 01 Feb 2011
Used twice as much stock as it was getting dry after 3 hours of cooking also added 2 tsps of brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit. - 11 Oct 2012
I made this today but accidently put risotto rice in instead of barley...ooops! I continued with the recipe and it worked just as well thankfully! I did add a yellow pepper, bacon - 07 Oct 2012
