About this recipe: For this recipe you can use pork pieces also. Note: make up 250ml of stock as you may need to add extra liquid if needed, but the end result should be lovely sticky and melt in the mouth meat with very little sauce left over. I like to serve this with steamed rice and some green veg or a light salad.
This recipe sounded delicious - honey & spice and succulent meat. I cooked it in my slow cooker for the length of time suggested but in the end it looked like dog food. The meat wasn't sticky as I expected, it was in fact very dry (despite me having used plenty of stock). I think I would try it again but would not cook it as long. - 03 May 2010
this sounded delicious and couldn't wait to try it. Done everything as suggested and was very disappointed with the turn out the meat was dry and no where near as nice and sticky as it made out. Felt disappointed as wasted lots of honey in it which isn't cheap! - 25 Jan 2014
how much stock do you use with this as it say make 250ml but only tells you to use 125ml - 10 Jul 2013
