Place pear halves, cut side up, in a shallow baking dish. Place butter in the centre of each; drizzle with lemon juice. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears. Top with marmalade. Cover and bake at 180 C / Gas 4 for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
This is quite nice and couldn't be easier but I'm not sure the marmalade adds very much. Given the normal shape of a pear, does anybody know how to stop the juices running off the stalk end and congealing in the tin? - 07 Feb 2012
