This easy to make shortbread biscuit is a melt in the mouth version of the classic, thanks to whipping the mixture before baking. Dotting them with glace cherries is a nice touch at Christmas.
The review that said the butter/flour proportions are wrong is correct. The result is an inedible gooey mess that won't even come off the baking tray. - 16 Dec 2011
Tried this recipe twice both times a failure, seems to have too little flour for the amount of butter? Ended up with a grainy mess, have double checked quantities and cross referenced with other recipes and it would indeed seem to have too little flour?? shame, sounded good - 14 Dec 2011
