    About this recipe: I made this dish for my husband who likes pasta. It was a success, the lemon makes the dish refreshing and light.

    Serves: 1 

    • 100g spaghetti
    • good quality olive oil
    • zest of 1 lemon
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 10 medium cooked and shelled prawns
    • a handful of chopped fresh basil
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a little cooking liquid.
    2. While the pasta is cooking, warm the olive oil in a pan over low heat. Add the lemon zest and let cook for about 5 minutes. Sieve the oil and return to pot.
    3. Add the garlic and prawns, cook about 3 minutes, stir occasionally. Season with salt pepper to taste.
    4. Add the cooked pasta with just a little bit of the cooking liquid. Toss together thoroughly with the chopped fresh basil, and serve.

    This was an easy one to follow an the only change I made was to add a small amount of dried chilli flakes in with the garlic to infuse with the oil - 06 Jan 2012


    very tasty and so so easy!! Used Schwarz garlic Italian instead of garlic and added some dill, was very nice! - 01 Nov 2012
