    About this recipe: This recipe is for amazing chocolate treats that many Australians make around Christmas. This particular recipe is my Mum's, which people always ask for!

    Ingredients
    Makes: 20 balls

    • 225g Malt biscuits
    • 160g raisins or sultanas
    • 75g desiccated coconut
    • 120ml lemon juice
    • 3 tablespoons rum
    • 1 tablespoon Cocoa
    • 4 tablespoons crushed nuts and/or desiccated coconut and/or chocolate sprinkles for coating

    Method
    Prep:30min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:2hr30min 

    1. Crush biscuits into fine cumbs (to a breadcrumb consistency).
    2. Mix all of the ingedients together in a large bowl.
    3. Roll into balls (approx 2 to 3 cm in size).
    4. Roll the balls in either coconut, crushed nuts or chocolate sprinkles depending on your taste. Chill for 1 hour to set.
