About this recipe: An economical, hearty and warming slow cooker soup recipe. Use dried herbs if desired; just halve the quantities.

  • 1.5L vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 tablespoons dry white wine
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 2 (400g) tins cannellini beans, drained
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  1. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours.
