    About this recipe: This pasta dish is quick and easy to make, and is full of veg, a cheap tummy warmer!

    Makes: 5 nice big helpings

    • 75g pasta per person
    • 1 small box of passata
    • 1 tub creme fraiche
    • 1 onion
    • 1/2 red pepper
    • 1/2 yellow pepper
    • 1/2 green pepper
    • 1 courgette
    • 5 rashers of bacon (optional)
    • 1 clove of garlic
    • 2 sticks of celery (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1/2 pack of mushrooms

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Put the water on to boil for the pasta.
    2. Chop onion finely and add to wok or large frying pan with crushed garlic and the oil. As the water boils add the pasta and boil for around 11-13 mins.
    3. Cut or chop the bacon into chunks and add the to the pan with the onion and garlic, cook until the bacon is almost cooked through, stir.
    4. Add the courgette and celery, cook through for a few mins and then add the peppers, cook for a further few mins, stir.
    5. Add the mushrooms and cook untill mushrooms are done, stir.
    6. Add the passata and cook until it boils and add the creme fraiche, keep stiring until it is fully disolved and hot.
    7. Drain the pasta and add to the wok if there is enough room, if not place the pasta onto the plates and add the sauce on top.
    8. Enjoy!


    this dish can be warmed up in the microwave or you can freeze it.
